Santiago, a 20-year-old twink in Buenos Aires, is addicted to gay hookup apps. By day he is a custumer service rep and by night, with phone always at hand, Santiago obsessively scrolls the sites to see who’s available and nearby. Sex may be plentiful but intimacy a rarity. One night, as he flits from tentative trysts to sex clubs, he searches for something that is missing in all these encounters. “A Few Feet Away” is a unsparing and insightful look at the gay world of today.

“A style of direction that’s often reminiscent of Scorsese’s early work, particularly Mean Streets, marking Pestaña Caro as a director to watch. A Few Feet Away is a unique film that peers behind the curtain of an especially interesting facet of the modern generation of LGBTQ digital natives.”
